This is a drop-in speaker system for Athearn Genesis SDP40F/SDF40-2 locomotives. More than just a box, the enclosure features Diapasonic Tuning™, which allows the lower frequencies to accurately develop and resonate, clears the midrange of excess resonance and tunes the upper-mid/high response. The speaker drops right-in and no modifications are needed to replace the factory speaker.
 
The short AHGS-SDPS fits either the front or rear location. The tall AHGS-SDPT speaker only fits the front location. The dual-speaker configuration includes one of each size. If using a single speaker, I recommend the front-mount tall speaker.
 
The speakers come fully assembled and tested.
