These are Rectify Series drop-in speaker systems for Life-Like Proto 2000 and Walthers Proto SW8/9/1200 locomotives. The speakers mount over the front truck.
 
Three versions of this speaker are available:
 
1) The early-run, tall motor, non-DCC-Ready version requires removal of the factory PCB and front weight with a hardwire Loksound Micro decoder installation. Room is very tight and extreme care is required to fit everything. You may also try using the N-scale Loksound Direct decoders. No other decoders will fit this model unless you remove the cab interior. There's room behind the speaker to install a TCS KA2 if desired. SKU: LLPR-1200-RC1
 
2) Short speaker for late-run P2K with short motor and DCC-Ready frame, similar to the current Walthers Proto models. A Nix Trainz Decoder Buddy Mini with Loksound or TCS 21-pin decoder can be used (Soundtraxx 21-PNEM is too tall) or a hard-wired decoder installation. The short speaker leaves room for a TCS KA2 in front of the speaker, between the speaker and LED headlight mount. 3) A longer speaker is available for the same late-run P2K with short motor and DCC-Ready frame, similar to the current Walthers Proto models. This longer speaker requires removing the LED headlight mount and using an SM-LED attached to the speaker front for the headlight. With careful placement above the rear fly-wheel, a KA2 can be installed in the shell. SKU: WLPR-812L-RC1
 
The speaker comes fully assembled and tested.
