This is a Rectify Series drop-in speaker system for pre-sound Life-Like Proto 2000 GP38-2 locomotives. The system sits on the chassis over the short-hood drive-shaft and fits between the cab seats in the cab. This is a fast, simple way to add sound to these locomotives without modifying the frame or removing weight. Use two small strips of mounting-tape to secure the feet to the frame. The "wings" on each side of the driver should seat against the weight and protect the driver from shorting while leaving a small gap at the front for the shell to seat.
A Nix Trainz Decoder Buddy N18+ w/Power-Bridge stay-alive will fit in place of the stock board. The 21-pin decoder format will not fit here. You can also install a bare-wire decoder if desired.
The speaker comes fully assembled and tested.
