This is a Rectify Series drop-in speaker system for pre-sound Life-Like Proto 2000 GP60 locomotives. The system sits on the chassis over the short-hood drive-shaft and fits between the cab seats in the cab. This is a fast, simple way to add sound to these locomotives without modifying the frame or removing weight. Use two small strips of mounting-tape to secure the feet to the frame or between the back of the enclosure and the weight. There are arms that hold the speaker in place, preventing the driver from touching the weight and providing a path for the truck wires to pass through.
A Nix Trainz Decoder Buddy MINI with 21pin decoder and a Power-Bridge stay-alive will fit in place of the stock board. A full length Decoder Buddy will also fit, though you'll need to find some nooks to tuck the capacitors of the Power Bridge. You can also use the Nix Trainz N18+ NEXT18 motherboard or a bare-wire decoder.
The speaker comes fully assembled and tested.
